Trends in pollution impacting biodiversity

This indicator specifically addresses pollution, one of the major and currently accelerating drivers of biodiversity loss and ecosystem dysfunction. Pollution can take many forms, such as excessive use of nitrogen and phosphorous leading eutrophication in aquatic habitats, to noise and light pollution affecting individual species.
